CombiStim XP
7 days
The CombiStim XP combines the benefits of Electrical Muscle Stimulation and Biofeedback in a single unit. Depending on the patient's specific needs, CombiStim XP can be used as a pure Biofeedback device, a pure Muscle Stimulator, or as a combined Biofeedback/Muscle Stimulation device, which automatically contracts the patient's pelvic floor muscles upon the achievement of a preset voluntary contraction level. Unlike drugs, which focus on relieving the symptoms of incontinence, CombiStim XP has no unpleasant side effects and focuses on tackling the root cause of the condition.
3 Treatment Options:
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) - By means of gentle electrical impulses, EMS recruits and contracts the pelvic floor muscles, thereby strengthening and training them.
EMG (Electromyography) - EMG is like an electronic personal coach, which monitors the strength and quality of your own voluntary muscle contractions and lets you know how you?re doing via audio and visual (on-screen) feedback.
ETS (EMG-Triggered Stimulation) - ETS is the combination of both technologies. Here, the EMG measures the strength of the patient?s own voluntary contraction and once a preset threshold level is reached, triggers a subsequent EMS-driven involuntary contraction.
CombiStim XP comes with 7 programs, including an open EMS program, where the clinician can choose and set desired stimulation parameters.
